A duo consisting of Canadian recorder player and composer Terri Hron and Colombian pianist and composer Ricardo Gallo, the RicTer Scale started at the Banff Centre in Canada while they both were in residence in October of 2012. In March 2013 they had the opportunity to come back to Banff to document their work in acoustic improvisation using recorders of several sizes and piano with some extended techniques.
This recording came out as "intimations", released under the catalogues of La Distritofonica and Bird on a Wire Records.
The album displays a variety of moods, imagery, intriguing moments and emotionally charged sounds reflecting a striking connection and synchronicity while revealing their background as composers as well as their experience as performers.
